Method Volume: How to Read and Verify This Project /
- Track:track-pc / track-network / track-software / track-manufacturing / track-trade / track-media / track-ai
- Format:yearbook / artifact / essay
- Region:china / global
- Domain:hardware / os / programming / education / factory / logistics / finance
English
This is not a chapter about a specific year. It is a user manual for the project: what is included, how claims are supported, and how you can search it.
1) Scope
- Time span: 1980–2045
- Focus: how technology enters organizations and daily life—and reshapes workflows, industries, and individual outcomes
- Avoid: slogans as history, opinions as facts, emotion as evidence
2) Three formats
- Yearbook: one chapter per year, describing what was actually felt and used
- Tracks: cross-year mechanisms (PC, networks, software, manufacturing, trade, media, AI)
- Artifacts: hard details—objects, manuals, ads, version numbers, price lists, photos
3) Evidence levels
- Fact: checkable materials (photos, scans, links, model numbers, version numbers, prices, timestamps)
- Memory: personal or oral accounts, explicitly labeled, with cross-check cues when possible
- Inference: mechanism explanations, explicitly labeled
4) Tagging (suggested)
Tracks, format, region, and domain tags are treated as an index—not decoration.
5) Pace
Make it passable first (timeline skeleton), then make it clear (tracks), then make it citable (artifacts).
